Hello my daughter was born with gastoschesis. I was 8 weeks when i first found out. I had to go see a specialist once a month through my pregnacy. When she was born I didn't have a chance to hold her because when she was born she wasn't breathing. It was very hard for me and my whole family. The same day that I had her she was transferred to the Los Angeles Childrens Hospital. So beafore she was transfered I saw her in the incubator with a bunch of tubes everywhere, It was the most hardest thing in my life and especially because she was my first child. I had her when I was 22 yrs old. She was in the hospital for about 1 month. I was breast pumpin so when she came home I just wanted to spend the quility tme with her and breast fed her. Although it was hard because I had a emergency c-section, I would still hold her. Now she's 23 months and she's doing great. She eats allot, I don't know if its because of the gastroschesis or that's just her appetite. But she's the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. The only thing that I'm worried about is that she doesn't have a bellybutton, and she has noticed that everyone in my family has one. So she's asking and I don't know what to say. I just tell her that we all have different things but we are all the same in God's eyes. Can you give me any tips?? That would be greatly appreciated. Thanx You can email me at didy425@sbcglobal.net
