My main problem now is my poor short term memory and organisation. I have less difficulty with reading and writing as I think I have learned to overcome some of these difficulties. However, I am hopeless at organisation and I have problems at work, especially in meetings or training days. I think I'm quite slow at processing information and end up feeling stupid because I never say anything, I'm never quick enough to rspond. I cant't remember phone numbers and I get my boyfriend to order takeaway meals because I get flustered and can't remember my address and other details! I am also always getting locked out at work because all the doors are coded! I never know the numvers,I've tried writing them down in a diary but I forget or loose my diary!
I think getting muddled with words is quite common for dyslexics, my sister is also dyslexic and she does it alot. I think this is also to do with memory. I sometimes wont say a long word that I'm unsure about for fear of getting it wrong and will use a simpler one that I know is relevent. So no I don't think your going mad I do it too!
