Your work sands very interesting and some pages towards making society more dyslexic friendly are being worked on for the hi2u site.

I think it is good to set some standard that people with dyslexia find easier to understand. Ideally that needs to be the same outside school as well.

After saying his it can be difficult finding standards that will be ideal for all dyslexic people along with other members of the community.

Very often its considered services designed for people with visual impairments can be used by dyslexic people. I personally think this is not understanding the needs of people with dyslexia.

You mentioned colour of paper that may vary accordingly to different people with dyslexia. However pastel shades are a good starting point. It could be that people with dyslexia may prefer different colour. Then of course there's another area of some people with dyslexia have and that's "short term memory difficulties" and organisation difficulties these are also difficulties some people have with AD/HD. Then one way of providing support would be by using colour as a help towards organising difficulties. Ie a different colour for different task.

At the end of the day we need some dyslexic friendly standards to rely on however every dyslexic person is different and it maybe difficult to fine tune those standards needed to suit all.

I will give some thought to this and see if I can think of useful places to refer you to 4 info. While I'm researching similar areas for pages on making society dyslexic friendly for the hi2u site.
