Subject: Interview for a theater play

Hi there!

I am directing a play called Mother Courage by Brecht which is very anti-war. I am trying to put together a voice-over to play with some pictures from Vietnam before the play starts. I want to give a powerful message to the audience reflecting on today's current events.

I have some questions here, and I would be so grateful if one or two people could reflect on them, and send me an email (liz.wal@gmail.com). I would use these words, read by one of my actors, and I would give credit to you, should you desire it.

What were you like before and after the war? How has the experience changed you? What were your losses or gains in this experience?

What did you feel was your role in the war, and how does that role affect you now and how did it affect you went you first went?

What did you feel, if anything, was accomplished by your involvement in the war or the war in its entirety?

Do you believe that there is hope? What do you think of the current situation? What are your current views on war in general? Have your priorities changed?

Thank you so much,
Liz W.
