I called and told my husband I was getting off early (11 p.m. last night). I had just had a cigarette on my smoke break so I was a little concerned about being caught.
When I got home, the smell of cigar smoke was evident. My non-smoking husband had lit the thing. He offered me a puff and I took a timid puff. After passing the thing back a couple of times, he went to mix some Bloody Marys. I took a couple of more serious puffs away from his view.
We finished the drinks and passed the cigar back and forth a few times before letting it sit. He asked what I thought and I said it was not that bad. He asked if I would like to do it again and I said yes. I also said this could lead to a smoking habit.
He seemed to think I was talking for myself. All he said was something sweet. It was something like this:
"Well, if you tried to buy cigarettes, you would be carded so bring your license." He always tells me I look younger than I am. That's the first time he related it to smoking, however. It was a wonderful night to cap off a busy week.
