He sold me 3 X 2 carbs for my 348 Chevy back in 1961. At that time the racing team was Haydon and Cox. They held the AHRA speed record for C/Gas Dragster(130.43) and ET record (10:18)set at Corpus Christi Dragway on 8-26-62. I was there. Haydon worked for So.West Bell Telephone and moved to Arzonia in the mid 60's. I moved from Austin about then also. The last time I talked with George was about the mid 70's when he worked on my wife's van at the old shop down on 1'st street. ( I think it was on 1'st) Lots of fun at thoes old drag strips!!
