Rain is falling
like a misty breeze
upon the valley green.
Frogs are calling
from creeks and trees
heard, but seldom seen.

Deers are huddled
on the moss
trying to stay warm.
Creeks are muddled
as debris is tossed
washed in by the storm.

Furs are wet
within the lairs
as animals come to rest.
Wings are swept
upon in the air
when birds return to nest

Rain is falling
so close your eyes
and let the dreams begin.
hear the calling
of sandman’s cries
come in, yes, come in.
