The freeze of the morning
slices to the bone.
Six more days til Christmas
and I feel so alone.

Cold December daybreak
holds me in its grip.
Icy winter weather
kisses with cold lips.

Offer me some eggnog
to chase the chill away.
Tell me one more story
to brighten up my day.

Wrap your arms around me
and let me rest my head.
Frigid north wind’s blowing
but I am warm instead.
