Some say Italians are too emotional,
talk with their hands,
eat too much pasta..
get drunk on dago red!

The women braid crosses of palm leaves on Palm Sunday,
pray the rosary at daily mass,
and on Easter, dine on roast kid.

On Saturday, at the neighborhood bar, (Sonny's Place)
men,
sip beer,
inhale shots,
and play shuffleboard for money.
They adore soft pink flesh, making love and babies.

Italian women
weep at funerals,
make pasta,
and stir pots of lingering love.

Heaven must smell like this,
and sound like Sonny's bar!
