Subject: Awakening the Hush

(Here's my spring poem - one day late)

His one eye is creeping upward
behind the horizon
until he fully
ascends.

She hides
beneath, before, beyond
to revive timidly
when warmer days begin.

His stroke
is a heated gift
intensifying as his fingers
spread.

Her drab colors
turns brightly gay
as she extends
her apron threads.

He,
master sun,
from the sky
warmly blesses with his touch.

She,
Mother nature,
rouses her children,
awakening their hush.
