Yesteryears

My thoughts are very far and away from you
They have never left me lonely nor misconstrue
I foresee the past extending to the complex future
The transition will finally settle my point of delusion
I am on the mountain top shouting loud and clear
I have never grown tired of my hopes and fears
Like a tight-rope thats walked with winds that steer
The balance of life has favored me through the years
Consumed with thoughts of yesteryears dim lights
The past is still a reminder of what couldve been right
In the archives of time and space where Im allowed
To look back at a destiny that could have been profound
The future is ahead exploring all the avenues I could take
My heart is astound, it still sings the songs of yesterday
The seasons will come again to renew their vital strength
Ill be where Im at for the time, duration and final length
