I'm not familiar with any instances where she flies without uttering an incantation (occasionallly, her incantation is different than the one used above). If so, perhaps they just "skipped ahead" in the storytelling for sake of expediency.

This was done by Hallmark. I can think of two possible reasons. One, to get the show down to the same length as the other live-action shows (Jason, Space Academy) that didn't use morals. Also, perhaps they thought the morals made the show look to preachy?

The third (and likely) option was the fact that the morals always ended with "see you next week." They probably removed them to eliminate the "next week" thing, to avoid any confusion if the show was being stripped in a weekday or more-than-once-a-week schedule. This often happens in syndication (if you have the BUCK ROGERS DVD set, they use the syndiated versions there, where William Conrad's voice-over at the beginning has the "Tonight" removed from where he originally said "Tonight on Buck Rogers".

Of course, the fact that Hallmark A). destroyed (allegedly) the films and B). never at least converted them to NTSC is sad.
