Subject: This mistake exists on the Hallmark masters...
In reply to: Beth 's message, "Re: Wrong Audio In "And Now You Don't"" on 21:40:11 08/17/07 Fri

I happen to know this mistake exists on the masters because I have off-air recordings from the 1990s in England that duplicate this mistake on BOTH "Now You See It..." and "...And Now You Don't".

What makes this mistake on the DVD troubling is that I DEFINITELY remember pointing out this error to BCI a long time ago. Of course, with the production schedule being what it was, I'm sure it was quite easy for them to forget to replace the audio.

Then again, it could also be they didn't want to enrage Entertianment Rights. Word is that ER are VERY sensitive to ANY changes made to their masters. That's why, for instance, the "newly created" end credits for the Freedom Force episodes don't occur until AFTER the E.R. copyright screen, rather than before, which would be the logical place.

I say it was probably just an oversight, though.
