The vehicle you are thinking about was named the LandMaster, and it was used in a 1977 movie titled "Damnation Alley", starring the late George (A-Team) Peppard and Jan-Michael Vincent (Airwolf). The vehicle was designed and built by Dean Jefferies (contrary to public opinion, not all movie and TV vehicles were built or designed by that little schmuck George Barris). The vehicle could handle a 60 degree incline, float on water, and could operate independently with either the front or rear wheels out of commission. It was powered by a Ford 427 cubic inch engine, and yes, it did have that triangular wheel pattern with a solid steel guard like you remember. The vehicle sits to this day ouside Jefferies' shop in Hollywood, California. Need more information? Just ask me through my E-mail- I'll be happy to share what I know! Duke
