I doubt that, simply because until at least 1997, they were actively syndicating the live-action shows overseas (in the United Kingdom) and according to some sources, Ark II and/or Space Academy were shown in America on the Sci-Fi Channel in its early days (I never saw it, but that doesn't mean it never happened).

The Writers Guild is currently involved in a lawsuit with Hallmark over royalties. It seems that Hallmark hasn't been paying royalties to the writers on these shows for YEARS (including the 1990s airings) and are in a bit of hot water over this.

You see, since these shows are LIVE-ACTION, they're not subject to the same limitations imposed on animated shows.

My theory is the real reason they aren't doing anything with the shows is because of the lawsuits, either because they're afraid of more penalties or because they're angry over the situation and taking it out on the shows.
