Subject: Reason why Shazam was a great show

I've read some comments that some people have written about the Shazam TV Series saying that they disliked the show because it wasn't like the comic book.It wasn't entertaining enough because Captain Marvel wasn't fighting super villans like in the comics. These people fail to understand the vision the producers of the series had. They were looking for a comic book superhero show that not only entertained, but also taught kids about real life situations and how to deal with them. This show taught us about moral values, right & wrong, good & bad, and helped us develope an understanding about these things. It saddens me that there aren't shows like this today that I can find.
I was a child when Shazam was first on TV. Watching the series on TV Land now as an adult has given me an even greater appreciaton and love for the show. Thank you for such a great web sight for a great and enduring show. Hopefully someday us fans will be able to get it on DVD.
