Subject: TOTALLY ridiculous
In reply to: oogle 's message, "Ark II ¿Adam is a black?" on 00:57:15 06/17/06 Sat

Your insinuation is baseless and ridiculous in the extreme, but just in case this ISN'T a troll posting...

Filmation was one of the "good guys" and ahead of the curve when it came to racial diversity. I can't think of ANY series that was "all white". Just because Ark II didn't have a black as a regular cast member doesn't mean they were sending any kind of message with the monkey. Rather than have a "token" black, as a lot of other network shows did at the time, they had diversity with Jose Flores and Jean Marie Hon.

No, Filmation wasn't "anti-black". If anything, they were very much PRO-diversity/equality.
