Subject: Reliving Saturdays with Ark II Set

I bought the Ark II set this Christmas. Saturdays for kids have long since lost their magic. Compared to my Krofft DVDs, the Filmation collections have stood the test of time much better. Years ago, while attending CGU in CA., I had the privelege of renting a room from a retired Filmation writer named Creighton Barnes. We would talk for hours about the shows. His guest room and basement were filled with old scripts, tapes, original cells, reels, and production sheets. He was the only person I knew who remembered Ark II as I did. I'm thrilled to see websites like this where fans can reminisce. Moreover, I'm glad to see these shows reborn on DVD. I give them as gifts to all my friends with kids; the ones young enough not to ridicule the "look" of the shows are always captivated by them. It reminds me of when they captivated me, and I'd spend all my recesses with my friends Vince, Dena and Allison McDonald, renacting the stories. I hope that, wherever they are, they've managed to find these DVDs. It was always sharing the experience of these shows with my friends that I enjoyed most (even though I did like Allison best:) ).
