Lucy,

It's normal to have mixed feelings about a pregnancy in the beginning. But, it sounds like this is a wonderful opportunity. You're already with the man you want to marry and live your life with.

I want to sort of echo what Pat said: If you abort your first child together that will haunt (and maybe even destroy) your relationship. You already know some of the emotional toll abortion can take on you. And, it will be weighing on the both of you, not just on you alone.

I don't know how far along you were with your first abortion, but you might want to look into what your baby looks like right now in terms of his or her gestational age. That can be pretty eye-opening and amazing. Most of us think of them as little blobs of tissue, but at 10 weeks they already have fingers and toes, brain waves, a beating heart, all of their organs, and are moving. They're complete - they just need time to grow. And, it's a good thing they have that time because it helps us get used to the idea of having a baby! (WE need those 9 months as much ast they do ;-)

Sharon
