Hi, it would help to know which state you are in as I can look up specific laws and resources to refer you to.

Is there a particular reason that you do not want to be returned home? That also may make a difference in what your options are.

The laws are going to be different for each state. You could call a Crisis Pregnancy Center in your area and see what resources they can offer you over the phone. They may also be able to tell you if you need to be concerned about being reported as a runaway in your state.

There is also a hotline number "The National Runaway Hotline" that you can try at 1-800-RUNAWAY http://www.nrscrisisline.org/youth_teens/youth_teens.html

Both Crisis Pregnancy Center's and the Runaway Hotline are confidential. You don't have to give them your name if you are concerned. Sometimes they can let family know that you are o.k. without them necessarily knowing your whereabouts.

Obviously you need to change something in your circumstances somehow. Do you have a place to stay now. I hope you aren't on the streets.

It might be difficult but at some point you will need to get some help for yourself, and for your baby.

If there is anything I can do to try and help, please feel free to e-mail me. I am happy to try and help you find resources a bit closer to where you are. At any rate, please let me know what you find out and how you are doing.

Take care of yourself.
