Well you can take a home pregnancy test if it's been over 10 days since you think you may have conceived. Or you can go to your city's local Pregnancy Resource Center and get a free pregnancy test there, along with all kinds of help if it turns out you are pregnant. I'd recommend holding off on your birth control pills (and consequently sexual activity) until you find out as the pills taken probably wouldn't harm the baby but taken for duration could. The pregnancy test that you take tests the levels of hcg in your urine so birth control will not effect it. To my knowledge the only drugs that can effect a pregnancy test are fertility drugs. Doctors don't know the effects of birth control pills on the developing fetus so it might be a good idea to stop taking the pills until you know for sure that you are not pregnant. You can contact your local crisis pregnancy center and they will give you a free pregnancy test. They also offer counseling, information on pregnancy etc. YOu can find your local crisis pregnancy center by going to www.pregnancycenters.org . Please keep us updated. Take Care, Lori
