I know that some of you were interested in Putnam County and Carmel History. The Putnam County Historical Society in Cold Spring and the Town of Carmel Historical Society McAlpin Ave., Mahopac both have exhibits and weekend hours.

1630 Rt. 9, Wappingers Falls. Take a right out of Holiday Inn and keep going up Rt. 9 it is on your right.

Splash Down Water Slide and Adventure Island is up about a mile on the left in Fishkill next to the Estelle and Alfonso Performing Arts Complex.

Special offers for both should be in the Poughkeepsie Journal. Both the Poughkeepsie Journal and the Journal News (Reporter Dispatch combined with Westchester News..)
