Good Friday: The death of Irish Republicanism.

Anthony McIntyre, * along with his partner Carrie Twomey founded and
edited the Blanket e-magazine, thus to hear that his book, Good
Friday: The death of Irish Republicanism; is to be published so soon
after the demise of the Blanket is very welcome indeed. In his
criticism of the strategy and tactics of the Adams leadership,
McIntyre at times ploughed a lonely, all be it persistent farrow and
he never wilted. Sure in the knowledge that he was correct in
believing that the Good Friday Agreement was never going to lead to a
United Ireland as the Adam's leadership claimed, but the reverse, in
that by signing it the PRM leadership had set partition in stone; and
this was a direct betrayal of all that the post 69 generation of Irish
republicans had fought, suffered and died for.
