Fallen Comrade of the Irish Republican Socialist Movement

Anthony Dornan
Died on 16 April 1999

Anthony Dornan was one of the founding members of the Irish Republican
Socialist Party and the Irish National Liberation Army in 1974,
serving as chief of staff of the INLA at one point. He battled cancer
for some time, finally succumbing to it in Cork City in 1999.

He was also the brother-in-law of noted republican socialist activist
and Official Irish Republican Army member Joe McCann.

A memorial to Dornan and other comrades was dedicated in the Lower
Falls area of West Belfast on 10 April 2003.
