Subject: Ancient Order of Halfwits?

Thw October 5th Association-a network of 1968 civil rights veteran & supporters- rights.civil@goooglemail.com- where banned from the Derry AOH Hall because they DARED to organise a press conference to expose the abuse of political prisoners in HMP Maghaaberry. That was in Feb. 2003. Now, four years later, this week-end, the AOH have allowed a real DISSSIDENT conference to be held. The CR Vets are all in favour of freedom of speech, however, we remain BANNNED even though most of us would speak in favour of a peaceful way forward in The Six Counties.

Some people refer to the AOH as the Ancient Order of Hyprcrites, but HALFWITS, seems a more appropriate title, as that ban on the CR Vets should have been officially lifted years ago. So much for the civil rights principles of freedom of speech and freedom of assembly. These Right-Wing Catholics seem only interested in what the revenue is raised across their bar-counter. Comrades and friends, drink as little as possible on their premises, so as not to unduly please their bank-managers.
