Compromise -- Stormont Watch

Subject: Compromise

Dear Bogsider,

I think you misunderstood my intentions in my letter to the Blanket 2/16/07 "Compromise". I am totally against any British rule in Ireland (north or south). I am 100% behind self-determination, a united Ireland free of British rule.

However, it was not me who voted for the Stormont Agreement and it appears that the majority of Irish men and women in the north favor power-sharing. Therefore, if there is no other alternative for the time being but power-sharing - then let Adams and Company get on with it. Stop placating the British government and the Unionist and stand your ground and let the chips fall where they may. Direct rule is not the answer and neither is Dublin's input. The free -staters have forsaken the north for far too long to have any right all of a sudden to have any input into what is best for the Irish in the north.

I hope this helps to explain where I was coming from in my letter to the Blanket.
