Subject: THANKS TO ALL FOR SUCCESSFUL EASTER!

Heartfelt thanks to all who supported the Annual Sean Oglaigh na hEirann/Friends Of Irish Freedom Easter Commemoration! Special thanks to the McBrearty Family of Derry. Bridie McBrearty was the guest speaker and did a brilliant job. Fiona Ramsey accompanied Bridie for the trip. The Easter Committee was thrilled to have them. Thanks to Danny McBrearty for supplying Easter Greetings and messages of solidarity from John Kelly, Brendan Hughes, EX-POWs AGAINST PSNI/RUC/MI5. Additional messages read out came from Noel Maguire and IPSC in London. This Easter Mass & Commemoration, being the oldest in the USA, continues to draw the largest crowd. Over 200 people attended; some notable Republicans: Ken Tierney, Matt Reilly, Tom Laffey, Martin Galvin, Terry O'Callaghan, Malachy McAllister, Joe McManus, Mary Holt Moore, Mario Biaggi, Danny Gormley, the MacDiarmada Family, to name a few. There were representatives from: Tipperary Association, Tipperary Hurling Club, GAA, United Irish Counties, Commodore John Barry Club, Cork Association, Kerrymen's Association, Cumann na Saoirse/Irish Freedom Committee, Antrim Society, Leitrim Society, Gerry McGeough Support group, to name a few! There were a number of ex-prisoners present. Martin Lyons and Msgr. Patrick Moloney hosted the event. Music and singing supplied by young Conall Patrick O'Brien- who sang The Ballad of George & Pop- in honour of Mrs. McBrearty, Tom Reddington (Mayo), Mike Fogarty (Tipperary). On display were Long Kesh memorabilia, letters, photos, pow crafts from 1972 forward, a letter written by O'Donovan Rossa on United Irishman letterhead stationary, an IRB pin, a Cumann na mBan pin, photos from Portlaoise, a photo of Rory O'Connor's execution, and much more! There was a huge supply of Republican merchandise as well. THANKS TO ALL WHO HELPED TO MAKE THIS DAY A SUCCESS! Always remember Ireland's martyrs!
