Subject: NOEL MAGUIRE REPATRIATION CALL AT AGM.

The plight of Irish prisoner Noel Maguire, held in the United Kingdom's prison system despite a growing campaign for his repatriation to serve the remainder of his sentence in Ireland, was highlighted at the Celtic League AGM last weekend (29/30 september).

Celtic League Secretary-General, Rhisiart Tal-e-Bot, reported on correspondence during 2006/2007 with the British government and moved the following resolution which was unanamously approved by the meeting:

"The Celtic League seeks the repatriation of Noel Maguire to a prison in Eire, in consideration of the phychological stress that the prisoner has been under over the last year and being the last of six co-defendants to remain in a prison in England."
