Subject: MAXIMIZE SUPPORT FOR MRS. O'HARA
In reply to: Derry IRP 's message, "Peggy O'Hara Says She Will Stand" on Tue, Jan 16 2007, 8:57:33 PST

This very welcome news has yet to reach a great number of contacts within our network, something we will remedy in the next few days.

We will be asking all our contacts to personally ponder upon how best they as individuals can assist this brave lady who is taking a principled stand against not only 'nationalist' moves to embrace the PSNI, but also to restore the partitionist parliament at Stormont, which will be headed by Dr. NO - none other than the arch bigot Ian Kyle Paisley.

A statement of solidarity will be released via our newsroom which covers almost every national and regional newspapers, some 42 radio stations in Ireland and other outlets and Irish-solidarity organisations overseas. Her campaign managers should advise us all on how best we can assist, well before the votes are cast. Let us all give Peggy our 100% support at this pivotal period in the anti-imperialist struggle.

Until then.....
PLEASE COPY AND PASTE TO THOSE TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

Postscript: Several 1968 civil rights veterans, including a co-founder of NICRA which was established forty years ago this month, and his family, have already contacted ia_pl32@hotmail.com to pledge their solidarity to Peggy and her election supporters. The head of that family, Mary, is the last surviving spouse of the local Irish Volunteers. Her late husband went on to become a Staff Office, Derry Brigade, Oglaigh Na h-Eireann. She will be 99 on April 28th this year, an old friend of Peggy and her late husband, Jim. Needless to say all of the above extend her cordial greetings and best wishes to all involved in this worthy project.
