Subject: Maghaberry fact-finding visits?

As a result of a recent IFC report sent to Peter Hain, NIO, Prison Governor etc., as well as the October Fifth Assoc-a network of 1968 civil rights veterans and supporters-, the latter body is making a request to prisoners in HMP Maghaberry, to meet with a number of independent observers over the next few weeks. Potential visitors to the jail have also been approached, and we expect a response from prisoners over the next few days. No further report will be issued if such visitations are approved by prisoners, and those visiting the jails will be asked to report their findings to media of their choice, so as to highlight exactly what the current situation is, within that prison, and how such affects the political prisoners in particular.
