Remember my buddy and I getting a call from a couple of friends who had gone to Powder Ridge telling us the thing was cancelled and could we come get them. We were living in Keene, N.H. at the time. Sure we said. We hopped into his car for a quick trip down...no shoes...little money...
figuring we would be back that night. Not so. We ended up spending the night after walking what seemed like 5 miles to the festival site. In the morning we walked back to where we had left the car...now seeming more like 10 miles and discovered it had been towed. Great experience!!!
When we got home we learned our parents were not pleased since we had taken off without telling anyone, you know, figuring we'd be back that night. Oh well, a great time for a couple of 19 year olds...Fortunately the was no shortage of mind-bending drugs to help make the trip worthwhile.
