I was on this cruise and remember it well. I have just returned from another med cruise with my wife and friends and after going up the winding path on Santorini on the back of a mule 37 years later, decided to see if I could find anything about the Uganda. I was 14 at the time and have a photo of me on the mule. I now have a matching one and although the mule looks the same, my shoulder length hair has gone!

I was one of many pupils from Bryn Celynnog Comprehensive, being escorted by our teacher Eddy Thomas. How he kept us in line I will never know! However it was a brilliant holiday and I have vivid memories of every port we visited.

Several years ago I met a lady while supping a beer in Rhodes who had also cruised on the Uganda while at school and like myself had very fond memories of the trip.
