 I have been reading the posts on here and reminiscing about cruising on the Uganda. Your post was the first I came across from the Feb 1980 cruise to the Med; it was definitely Feb 1980 as I recognised the itinerary. I was with the Tarring High School group from Worthing, West Sussex; I stayed in Thackeray dormitory. I have some very fond memories of the trip; an amazing experience for 12 year olds.

I had forgotten many of the details of the trip, including being fogbound in Venice but vividly remember the snow in Jerusalem and spending time in the ship's sick bay having sea urchin spines removed from my leg after slipping and falling onto a sea urchin while paddling near the harbour in Mykonos.
