I would like to hear from anyone who was on this ship the same time as me,It was 1980 when i spent over two weeks on board this incredible boat.
We had a host of schools onboard this vessel,my school was St Nicholas in Laindon Essex,we also had Chalvedon School from Essex on board with one of my best mates Matthhew Harris making it one the most memorable trips of a lifetime.
What stands out was that the original cruise included a visit to moscow and leningrad, however due to the olympic games being held in Russia that year we was given a alternative visit to berlin, which included a trip to the east through check-point charlie, which was just incredible.we also visited visby, copenhagen, stockholm, helsinki,on a truly remarkable 2 weeks,My parents met me at the port of copenhagen, where i spent a few hours with them on there own holiday, before returning to the class where we was entertained by a night at Tivoli Gardens.
Anyone remember Mrs Collop who was head of our party, and Mr Paul.
