Finding this site made the old grey matter delve back into the dusty history of times gone by!, Sailed from Southamton to the Canarys, Vigo, El porto, and others i cannot recall,I can remember that Rob still owes me twelve shillings and sixpence for half a bottle of rum, plus interest over forty two years comes to around um may be a full bottle by now, So Rob if you ever read this i am sure you just forgot mate, Another person that i have never forgotten is Jenny routhwaite, hope life has dealt you a good hand, I still have your letter and photo,Having read a lot of the listings on this site i had a look in my possesions and i still have my autograph book of the cruise.Makes good reading, sad that the ship is no more ,but never forgotten by a lot of people it seems, My wanderlust stemmed by this holiday which then cost around sixty pounds i think, John galione and miss Gahoone were our teachers in charge at the time, that is up to the day we went through the bay of biscay, And yes i can remember throwing a few deckchairs over the rails, and getting drunk on a bottle of port, Which by the way Rob i still enjoy !, ANYWAY ENOUGH FOR NOW, My email details are on the site if you have some memories of times gone by!!
