 Just found this forum, googled S.S. Uganda after telling my daughter about this trip the other evening. I'm sure it was March 1981 Baltic cruise,..I remember the "pete bog" man! Viking museum? The Mermaid,..playing quoits on the deck,..the freezing water in the "swimming pools", which I think were really storage vaults? Seem to recall a bad case of food poisoning on board,..I nearly didn't make my trip to the Tivoli because I felt so ill,..was a great adventure,..far too young to appreciate it though. Does anyone know if there are any pics online of this trip? Would love to see some. The ones I took have been lost over the years.
