 I remember bits and pieces of life aboard the SS Uganda as a Canadian high school student from Ashbury College (Ottawa). Sailed from Yugoslavia to Lebanon, Israel, Egypt, Turkey, Greece.

Mostly remember the other English speaking students trying to pass themselves off as Canadians in the Middle East ... plus a beautiful memory of Beirut between civil wars.
