 i was lucky enough to sail on her for these two weeks with my freind jeffery jones, we were both from neath wales and were sea cadets.
i work the whole fortnight in the gallies along with bob from salisbury (seacadet) who i think joined the navy soon after.
i bunked with fordy from liverpool, jock from cambletown and others who i cannot remember.
jeffery 'ginger' jones was killed on his 17th birthday on the motor bike his parents bought him that day along with another guy.
i was 15 on the cruise and remember action man, brian the chef , dai the baker (welsh)
and all those lovely younge school girls.
caroline and sarah from st. helier jersey.
paula/pauline and fiona from crawley.
and of course carolyn horne from east lothian scotland ( who i spoke to recently)sexy girl.
love to hear from anyone who was on that cruise 'cos my camera was crap and i only have memories of that trip.
i love that ship and would do anything to get those memories back.
