 I went on this cruise with King James 1 School, Bishop Auckland. I was 13 at the time. I remember there were lots of Canadians from a place called Medicine Hat which struck me as a strange name! They had it on the backs of their jackets. We flew to Athens and visited Olympia (Katakolon), Naples and Istanbul. At Olympia we ran a race on the site of the ancient Greek Olympic track, which was a big thrill. Pompei was interesting but in Istanbul the local male poplulation was quiter taken by our short skirts and some girls had their behinds pinched crossing the Bosphorus! I recall too that a Turkish Airline came down in France with great loss of life around the time we were about to fly home and we were very anxious.
