 I was fortunate to sail for two weeks on the Uganda in 1982, flew from Gatwick to Malta, where we boarded the ship,
From there we sailed to Alexandira-Rhodes-Izmir-Heraklion-Itea-Split and then home to Gatwick.
Have memories of the Pyramids and some now foggy photos of the trip.Remember the force 9 gale and everyone looking green and gasping for fresh air cos the toilets were smelling.
I also worked as a Sea Cadet in the Galley and have some pics of the catering crew and my dorm photo of cadets, Also on the trip was Jeff (Ginger hair) Jones from the same cadet unit in Wales, but he sadly got killed in a motor bike accident on his 17th birthday on the bike his parents bought him for his birthday.
