Sailed on this cruise as a cabin passenger and had a great time i remember the weather being very hot drinks with the captain in his cabin. Great food, hoped to go the next year but unfortunatly that never happened as Uganda was requisitioned for the falklands so that was my last cruise on her.Had previously been on Nevasa twice as a dormitory passenger.
Went on my first cruise since Uganda last October on board Fred Olsen's Black Watch to Northern Spain,Portugal and Guerensey But due to 30ft waves in the Bay of Biscay never got to Portugal and never got ashore in Guerensey as the weather was to rough to launch the lifeboats to take us ashore. Apart from that had a good time but not the same as Uganda.
When I mentioned the Uganda to people on the Black Watch not many people seemed to have heard of her. It was a sad day the day she left on her voyage of no return and to se her on her side in Taiwan!
