We left lochgilphead very early on a coach to Greenock and had a great view of the ship coming down into the town. Even that was an adventure. I don't think I had slept the past two nights because of pure excitement.
We went to Oporto, La Rochelle and Amsterdam and I think the cruise lasted 10 days and cost about �60
I think I was only ten years old during the cruise and like my classmates was totally cared for by Mrs Sinclair, our teacher.
I have no photos or souvenirs left now, but the pictures in my head and the vivid memories are still here.
I loved every moment of my cruise. How lucky I was.
If you remember being on this particular cruise and have any photos of the Argyllshire group, leave a message.
