 I was a very young (age 15 Navy 1943. Upon completion of "boot camp" I attended and graduated from the Radioman School at Sampson in Feb. 1944. I was subsequently assigned duties aboard the USS Ancon, the flagsip of the Amphibeous Force Commander and was aboard he Ancon for the June 6, 1944 D-Day invasion.
