 There is a Sampson museum, formerly its brig, with a host of 3 ring binders cataloging boot company photos. Some have name lists associated with them. The museum is in the state park at the site of Sampson, east side of Seneca Lake, halfway between Geneva at the north end and Watkins Glen on the south end.You may be able to contact a volunteer at the museum, which I believe is now operated by New York state. I suggest you google the park.
