 My Dad served from 42-45 at a naval facility in Rhode Island and at Sampson. My mom, Leora, drove up there from Texas when I was 4 months old. All I remember is brithdays and lots of snow, 4 to 6' high; we don't do snow like that here. After the war, they moved back to Texas where my dad was a football coach and taught history and economics. I have a ton of pictures of people he served with, some of a bunch of us at a waterfall probably around Watkins Glen.

Anybody out there remember. He also palyed semi-pro football and baseball.
