Hello, my father was a Sampson WWII vet and went through training I believe in NC or SC as a radio operator. I found your site from a Finger Lakes book I was reading. I will be up in the area in a few weeks and will visit your museum. My sister and I have a group picture somewhere of his group. My father, Neil J. Henderson passed in January of 1999. My sister and I were recently in Washington DC and saw the WWII memorial there as well. I have his history listed on their website under his name with NY as his home state. I have at home a listing of the ships he was on, which are listed in his story on the WWII memorial site. This is exciting to have found your site and to learn more about what he was involved with. If anyone would like to post or email back that may have known my father, that would be great.
