 Would love to share info with you. My father was SN 2nd Class Gaylord Humble. He manned the 20 Cal on the Starboard side of LST 783. He was credited with a shootdown of a jap plane at Leyte. He has a picture of the ship beached on Guam and a picture of the crew when they picked up the ship in Pittsburgh.
