 I was aboard the USS PICKENS APA 190 at Iwo Jima and Okinawa. I vaguely remember seeing the APA 134 , I beieve, somewhere out there. I believe your ship or the APA 133 was considered to be our sister ship. It was a long time ago. I saw also the USS Hinsdale take a kamikazee hit at Okinawa. Were you in the vicinity ? I was a Pharmacists Mate 3/c. Did you know any of the medics aboard. I think a couple of medics I was stationed with at university of Georgia dispensary came to your ship. One was named O'Hara and one named Price . Both of them were good sized men. Hope I am in the right place.
