My Grandmom and Pop-pop took my cousins and I to camp at Sampson when we were kids....prolly over 14 yrs ago. I didn't know then the history this place and my Pop-pop had. I had always seen this pictures my grandparents have of a unit in their den but i didnt really know about it. I asked about it and found out that my Pop-pop had trained at Sampson as a 19yr old kid...he doesnt talk about it much....but u can tell he has some memories. His name is Paul W. Appleton, Jr. Please let me know if u know him......
I just love this website and i plan on going to see the museum next time i am on my way by Seneca Lake going to see family.
