The outstanding site that you have produced with an obvious objective; a tribute to your Dad as well as to the crews of the Amphib forces, is an undertaking that will be long remembered. You have captured the single spirit of the entire Amphib force sailor.

Jack Sterling's site for the AGC-15, USS Adirondack, adds a singular ship site that, like many similar sites, should be visited for it enhances your tribute to your Dad in your page. If your advice to the younger generation to extract information from parents, grandparents or kin that served, this knowledge of first hand accounts would be a great contribution to posterity. For it would be a history of individuals that no historian or writer could ever capture.

Your site, as well as the many sub-sites for individual ships such as Jack Sterlings' creates an Amphib documentary that could never be replicated in any other form

Our Amphib shipmates should be proud of your creative tribute.

Well done Mr Padden.

Sincerely,

Peter R. Bingley
Yeoman Second Class Petty Officer
AGC-15 - USS Adirondack
1945-1948
